Boelen

Boelen represents a reinterpretation of the traditional Dutch game, Sjoelen, renowned for bringing families together. This project’s objective was to reimagine the classic game to accommodate more than two players. Boelen introduces a double-sided board with a central piece serving as the focal point for all actions, facilitating group play with three participants. The utilization of distinct colors distinguishes the pieces for each team. The game’s objective is to strategically land your team’s pieces in the highest-scoring holes while displacing the opponent’s pieces. 

This game seeks to revive the Sjoelen tradition, appealing to individuals of all ages. The introduction of team dynamics fosters connection, and the element of competition transforms it into an enjoyable pastime for every member of the family.
